For 2011 Funding

(Note: the process for 2011 funding is currently under review; the information below may change.)

 

Letters of Inquiry for funding in 2011 will be accepted until September 15, 2010. Please see the Foundation’s application process for further information.

 

Proposals from organizations invited to submit an application are due to the Foundation by 4:30 pm, October 29, 2010. Grantees will be notified no later than February 28, 2011, and in accord with the timeline of the project to be funded.

 

For 2010 Funding
Grants for fiscal year 2010 have already been awarded.

 

 

APPLICATION PROCESS

 

LETTER OF INQUIRY

The application process for the Mitte Foundation begins with a letter of inquiry sent to the Foundation through either e-mail to communitygrants@mittefoundation.org, or by mail to the address listed below.

The Mitte Foundation will review all letters of inquiry and will invite organizations to submit a proposal according to the process outlined below.

 

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION

After approval of submission, proposals are due to the Foundation by the submission deadline described above. The Mitte Foundation requests that all proposals be submitted both by e-mail and by mail. Proposals will not be processed until both formats are received. Notification of receipt of the proposal will be e-mailed to all applicants. Grantees will be notified of the Foundation's decision by the notification deadline described above, and in accord with the timeline of the project to be funded.

 

Copy One - By Mail:

One hard copy of the proposals must be sent to the Mitte Foundation office. The proposal may be placed in a folder with pockets (no brads), but please do not use notebooks or binders. Do not include videotapes, CD/DVDs, or additional materials that are not specifically requested in the Attachments List. Faxed proposals are not acceptable.

Copy Two - By E-mail:

Complete proposals, including all attachments, must be submitted via e-mail to communitygrants@mittefoundation.org. Documents downloaded from this page must be left in the format in which they were created (Microsoft Word and Excel). We prefer that the required attachments be submitted as one .pdf file, if possible; otherwise they must also be in Microsoft Word or Excel.

 

Application Content:

The Mitte Foundation’s application is comprised of the following five components:

• The Grant Application Form in Word.
  
• The Project Budget in Excel.
• The Required Attachments List.
• The Organization Contact Spreadsheet in Excel.
• A one-page cover letter, which should accompany the hard copy of the proposal and should be tailored to address the amount requested and the proposed project. It should be signed by the executive director or president of the agency.
