The Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte Foundation is a Texas non-profit corporation created in 1994 by Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte.  Lifelong success in the insurance and real estate arenas enabled native Texans, Roy and Joann Mitte, the good fortune to launch this philanthropic organization.  The Mitte’s believed that hard work, persistence, loyalty and dedication should be rewarded.

Scholars of the highest merit are joined with community organizations of highest effectiveness to perpetuate the Mitte family’s belief in the American ideals of prosperity and individual freedom.

To identify, engage and support educational and community organizations that have the potential to manifest the Foundation’s vision.

 

 

Grant Policy
The Roy F. & Joann Cole Mitte Foundation (The Mitte Foundation) is a private charitable foundation, incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas, and operated exclusively for providing support to highly effective United States educational and community organizations, supportive of the American ideals of prosperity, individual freedom, and hard work, and focused upon 1) the enablement of individual U.S. citizens to pursue, acquire, and successfully employ the tools necessary for advancement through education, 2) a strong commitment to community support of the elderly, and 3) therapeutic and rehabilitative services for persons of all ages diagnosed with physical and/or mental disability.

 

In supporting these efforts, the Mitte Foundation seeks to engage with:

• Scholars in active pursuit of enhanced learning skills that enable them to improve their capabilities in order to succeed.
• Accredited institutions of higher learning recognized as providing excellence in education and supportive of community service.
• Community organizations serving the needs of older adults requiring assistance to enhance quality of life.
• Community organizations serving tharapeutic and rehabilitative needs of persons afflicted by physical and/or mental disability to enhance quality of life.
• Community organizations within the above focus that have proven to be highly ethical, effective, and successful in meeting and/or exceeding their goals, as well as expressed results.
